Is this supposed to be a humble brag? shots fired at E lon? Sa tire? I have many questions for and about this person. My preliminary suspicions is that they are the type of person to buy a fake R olex and try to pass it off as real

Is it possible to own a Tesla and not have a custom plate?

I suspect t hat’s someone who was promised a car for $35k, put money down on it well in advance, then after having taken mental ownership of it for a year or so before delivery was finally given a new price and a take it or leave it attitude from Tesla.
In their mind they had already paid for it and it was in their driveway , so there was little doubt they were going to be taking that offer, but they’re decidedly not happy about the last minute price increase.
Probably

“ I paid more than I wanted for this car and I will pay even more to let everyone one know about it!!”

I’ve been on the road in less populated areas all week. I probably haven’t seen half a dozen Teslas in that time, even in the regional cities. I am happy witht hat.

Not $35K, with options, $38,750, bitch! Look at me!
I’m assuming it’s a pretty
weak, not so humble, brag.

I would imagine they would get a real Rolex, but then show it off to anyone and everyone.

BTW, since we are both SoCal do you know what the deal is with “the front plate” and these Tesla guys? Seems like 80% of the Teslas in Santa Barbara don’t bother to display the front plate (must be to not spoil those gorgeous front lines of a Model 3????
Do EVs (like the HOV lane and general dickishness) get a pass on that requirement or are these guys just too cool to do what everybody else has to do?
I realize that CHP has their hands full managing freeways full of drivers-of-limited-skill, but I’m amazed that the Tesla Crowd isn’t inundated with Fix-It Tickets for not displaying the front plate.

Yeah, technically 100% illegal, but I think the cops don’t pay any attention to it

Funny. Where I’m from I’ve had cops do 180s, in the morning rush traffic, to hunt me down for not displaying the front plate on a project car.
Of course, I seldom see CHP even use turn signals in SoCal.
